Infrared saunas are a special type of sauna that use light and heat to help detoxify your body. Sometimes called far-infrared saunas, this type of sauna creates infrared light waves that heat your body and stimulate your sweat glands. As you sweat, you release harmful toxins that have built up in your body tissue.
Infrared sauna treatments detoxify the body and and also stimulates weight loss. Infrared heat directly targets the fatty tissues of the subcutaneous layer. As a result, fat becomes water-soluble at a core body temperature of approximately 100.5 degrees F and will literally ‘melt’ by breaking up into smaller particles, which are then purged from the body.
